La Vega
Cibao Sur city. Founded 1494 as Concepción de la Vega Real by Columbus (original site abandoned after 1562 earthquake, modern town nearby). Anchor for the Lithgow-Ceara line: Federico W Lithgow Alonzo lived here with Baudilia Ceara Díaz; their children incl. Federico W Lithgow Ceara (1902–1977) and Ana Luisa Lithgow Ceara (1913–2010) were born here. Evaristo Dante Pezzotti died here 1929; his eldest son Blas Antonio Pezzotti Tejada died here 1961.
